The Great British Bake Off's Matt Lucas visited Golders Green Synagogue in March to film a segment for tonight's episode of Who Do You Think You Are?. We're sworn to secrecy about what happens in the programme but we are allowed to tell you that Matt will be exploring what happened to his late grandmother who was married through Golders Green Synagogue. The episode will explore what Matt's grandmother went through as a Jew in Nazi Germany in the 1930s, and what happened to the family she left behind. He also uncovers a connection to Anne Frank. It will be broadcast tonight at 9pm on BBC One and will be on iPlayer afterwards.

BBC Bitesize
We also worked with the BBC on a lovely series of animated videos for BBC Bitesize, introducing Judaism to Key Stage 1 pupils. It features 10-year-old Ella Scott, a member of Golders Green Synagogue, who gives a tour of the shul and tells people how Jewish people show they care. Click here to watch!
