Tribe have had the most incredible summer full of fun and exciting adventures on camp!
Spread across five countries and two continents, our young people have enjoyed enriching Jewish experiences in America, Belgium, England, France and Holland.
I was amused by the feedback one of our participants gave us on leaving Disneyland Paris: "That was the best day of my life, and trust me, I've had a lot of days!"
Camp activities included ice skating, water sports, paintballing, challah baking, a trampoline park, archery, bracelet making, dancing and a trip to Alton Towers. Participants made Rosh Hashanah cards for US Chesed.
Gracie Joseph from Camp Zev for Year 6 told us this year was "the best year yet" and Amelie Teacher said Tribe camp was "such a great experience".
Over in Holland, Tribe organised a walking tour of Amsterdam and learnt about the canals, Walter Süskind, a German Jew who helped about 600 Jewish children escape the Holocaust. Participants went to the famous Portugese Synagogue and the Anne Frank House and Museum.
Across the pond, Tribe's Learn2Lead New York trip took in city landmarks including the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and Times Square. The group also visited Yeshiva University and the Tennement museum, did some volunteering and finished off with a very exciting baseball game at the Yankee Stadium!
Eitan Kramer told us that "the Tribe New York trip was an unbelievable experience jam-packed with loads of unforgettable memories. I would highly recommend to anyone and also loved the hard-working, kind madrichim [leaders] who led the wonderful trip."
A big thank you and well done to the whole Tribe team and all the madrichim who worked so hard to put on the summer of a lifetime for hundreds of our young people.
