The US at Limmud
Limmud Festival begins online tomorrow and a number of United Synagogue presenters will be sharing words of wisdom and you’re welcome to join them. Over three sessions, Barnet United Synagogue’s Rabbi Samuel Landau will be exploring how we can re-imagine the shul space for a new generation (Saturday 20:00), men’s wellbeing (Sunday 16:00) and how he combines the rabbinate and clinical psychology (Tuesday 19:00).
Our President, Michael Goldstein, will be looking at continuity and change within the United Synagogue (Tuesday 11:00). Having pivoted dramatically during the pandemic, can we simply go back to how things were?
Ben Vos, our Communities and Strategy Manager will ask what the future holds for UK synagogue communities given changes in demography, identity and affiliation (Tuesday 17:00).
Edgware member Jane Myers will showcase how Edgware United Synagogue’s Global Women’s Hallel harnessed the power of technology and brings together hundreds of women every Rosh Chodesh (Tuesday 19:00).
And I’ll be joining a Board of Deputies panel on their Commission on Racial Inclusivity to share how the United Synagogue has responded to our survey on how welcoming we are to Jews of Colour (Tuesday 13:00).
