With ShabbatUK coming up, we are launching a very exciting competition. The United Synagogue and Tribe have teamed up with @lovelovechallah, a challah maker in Israel who posts her beautiful and unique parasha-themed challot on Instagram, and Borehamwood's KLBD licensed bakery Just Baked to challenge you to come up with a creative challah design! A parasha-themed plaited production, or a decorative doughy delight – the only limit is your imagination!
A panel of judges will then choose our lucky winner, who will receive a gift voucher for a KLBD supervised bakery or shop to cover a six-month supply of challah!
To enter this competition, send a photo of your baked creation, along with your full name, contact number and location, to: challah@theus.org.uk. Closing date for entries is Monday 16 May at 5pm. The winner will be revealed on Wednesday 18 May. To read the full terms and conditions of the competition, please click here.
Good luck!

Time for change
Where is your community headed next? Do you want to make a difference to people around you? Have you got an ambition and ideas for your shul to take it to the next level?
This week we're calling for nominations across all of our communities for leadership positions. The officers and council of your community shape the ideas which create momentum and direction. This isn’t just management, it's leadership. And the US will be there for and with our Honorary Officers, providing an ever-increasing amount of guidance and support including training and mentoring.
If you are looking for a way to give back to your community, to the people around you, look out for an email from your administrator or contact your shul office.
