The Jewish festivals are coming thick and fast. I was balancing precariously at the top of a tall ladder last night putting the s’chach on top of our succah. But why do we need all these Jewish festivals? That’s the question the Chief Rabbi is addressing this week. Click here to watch his message and click here to read a transcript. We have some articles about Succot on our website and some programmes to watch on TheUS.tv including how to use the Arba'ah Minim (four species). Have a wonderful Yom Tov!

Find a nursery
We are blessed to have a number of wonderful nurseries based at our shuls. Jewish nurseries offer the perfect start to our childen's education. The United Synagogue runs six nurseries: BabyiSH nursery in South Hampstead, Brondesbury Park Synagogue Nursery, Bushey Gan, Chigwell & Hainult Synagogue Nursery, Kindergarten in the Wood in St John's Wood and Woodside Gan in Woodside Park.
Each of our nurseries are professionally run and provide learning and play in a warm and safe Jewish environment. Why not see which is your closest nursery? Click here to find out more.
There are also a number of independent nurseries at United Synagogue shuls, as well as nurseries at United Synagogue schools and schools under the auspices of the Chief Rabbi. Click here to view the full list.

Still time to donate...
A big well done to all our shuls who worked so hard to welcome thousands of people over Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. We were delighted that so many people came to our services and hope you had an inspirational and meaningful time. If you have donated to your shul's Kol Nidre appeal then thank you from all of us. If you haven't, there's still time - just click here and select your community to see which charities they are supporting this year.
