On Tuesday there was big kosher news for members with a sweet tooth! With apologies to dentists, Rowntree's Vegan Friendly Fruit Gums, Fruit Pastilles, and Jelly Tots are now approved Parev by KLBD! In the name of research I have been trying them out ahead of the announcement and can confirm they are delicious. Note that the non-vegan range remains Not Kosher as before and you can check the kosher status of other Rowntree's products here.
KLBD works round the clock to make keeping kosher easier across the UK. The 'Isitkosher' app and website has tens of thousands of people using it each month and The Really Jewish Food Guide lists more than 8,000 products available nationwide at regular prices.

New kosher restaurants to try
This week we're shining a spotlight on three new delicious KLBD-supervised establishments for you to check out over the summer. Hendon's hottest new health shop, Portoberry (Dairy), invites you to enjoy hand-picked, fresh organic produce in their sandwiches, salads, poke bowls and smoothies. Founded by four best friends, their goal is to serve the community by providing the freshest and healthiest products and exceptional customer service. Check out their menu here.
Down in Brighton, the Novellino team have opened a new Glatt Kosher meaty restaurant in the shiny new BNJC community centre. During the day, Novellino Brighton operates as a contemporary café serving delicious meaty breakfasts. Soon they will be open for lunch too, and in the evening will become an exciting bistro restaurant serving a fusion of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. You can see their menu here.
A new Israeli Dairy café has opened in Golders Green. Beit Café offers a variety of breakfasts, shakshukas, sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta and more with top quality coffee and desserts all day long. Do check out their exceptional cakes with guest patisserie chefs including next week's St Honoré cake promotion. More details here!
בתיאבון - Bon appetit!
