Thursday 9 September, 2021 One of the most remarkable features of the United Synagogue is the yearly Kol Nidre appeal and the generosity of our members.
Next week, hundreds of thousands of pounds will be donated to good causes by thousands of United Synagogue families. I’ve just looked at the list of charities being supported and it’s extraordinary. In addition to donations to each of our shuls, to vital United Synagogue services like US Chesed and Tribe, and supporting Jewish students through University Jewish Chaplaincy, some 50 other charities will be the beneficiaries of your tzedakah.
You’ll be making a difference to people in need in this country, in Israel and around the world through so many great Jewish and non-Jewish charities. Look out for your email coming from your shul in the next few days.
We have a number of resources for you ahead of Yom Kippur. Check out the content on our website, our Yom Kippur Daf Hashavua, our beautiful book, Shana Tova! and Tribe's Yom Kippur Newsletter.
