Thank you for the wonderful messages for the Chief Rabbi following the announcement of his Knighthood last week.
We wish mazal tov to Woodside Park's Michael Karp who has been awarded an OBE for services to Holocaust education and remembrance. Michael is a Trustee of the Holocaust Educational Trust and Chair of the Association of Jewish Refugees
And we also wish mazal tov to Rabbi David Kale, Rabbi of Belfast Hebrew Congregation, who has also served Staines and District Synagogue and Barking and Becontree Synagogue as well as leading services in numerous United Synagogue shuls before that. He has received an MBE.
Whilst we have highlighted our members who have been recognised, we wish a hearty mazal tov to all those who have been recognised with an honour across the Jewish community!

Shine a spotlight on Jewish Students
Over the past year, our friends at University Jewish Chaplaincy (UJC) have had a huge impact on the lives of Jewish students at universities across the UK, with students having accessed Chaplaincy services 24,134 times.
Chaplains have served more than 6,000 meals, spent over 1,200 hours assisting students with different mental health concerns, supported over 100 students with incidents of antisemitism and have driven over 26,500 miles across the UK to ensure that even students on outlying campuses receive support.
There are 19 Chaplains and Chaplaincy couples living near to students on or close to campuses from Edinburgh to Bristol. This ensures that Chaplains can truly offer a 'home-away-from-home' for Jewish students across the UK.
This provision is vital to the wellbeing and continuity of a vibrant, empowered and successful Jewish student community on campus. This weekend, to secure its provision, UJC is holding an urgent fundraising campaign. Click here to read more.

Mazal tov, Rebbetzen Dr Hadassah Fromson
We send congratulations to Golders Green's Rebbetzen Dr Hadassah Fromson who has successfully completed the Yoetzet Halacha (Halachic advisor) programme at Nishmat's Miriam Glaubach Center. The Yoetzet Halacha programme was created in response to the need for women to consult suitably qualified women on all matters related to women's health, and is one of the highest level female Jewish learning programmes in the world.
Rebbetzen Fromson's studies have included halachot (Jewish law) relating to female health and family, alongside medical and mental health curricula, pastoral training and practical experience. We look forward to learning from her over the coming months and years!
