We are delighted to wish a warm mazal tov to our oldest member, Mrs Anita Harding, who will turn 107 next week!
Anita is a member of Stanmore & Canons Park Synagogue and was born in 1915 in the East End of London. She and her husband Charles had two sons and Anita has been blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As a young woman, she worked in her father’s dress shops, and later was very involved with her husband Charles in his musical agency supplying backing musicians to famous groups including The Beatles, Elton John and Frank Sinatra.
Anita and Charles were involved with the founding of Stanmore & Canons Park Synagogue. Stanmore's Shirley Saideman has written a beautiful piece about Anita which you can read here. Mazal tov, Anita!
We would be delighted to celebrate YOUR good news in You&US so if you have a special birthday, an anniversary, wedding or bar and bat mitzvah and would like us to trumpet your good news to 28,000 recipients of this email, just press reply and let us know!

On a much sadder note, last week we were rocked by the terribly sad death of Dean Jayson. He was, among many things, one of the founding members of the Jewish Community Academy Trust (JCAT), becoming co-vice chair of the Trustee board having been on the governing body at Wolfson Hillel.
We extend our deepest condolences to Dean’s loved ones at this extremely difficult time and wish them arichut yamim.
Michael Goldstein, Chair of JCAT and President of the United Synagogue, said: "Our community has been deeply shaken by the sudden loss of Dean Jayson – a dedicated husband, father, son, colleague and friend. Dean cared greatly about the education of our children. His patience, diligence and strategic mastery allowed him to work so effectively with others and build a better way forward for us all.
"It is hard to imagine a world without Dean. For those of us lucky enough to know him, his absence has left and will continue to leave, a gaping hole. Let us, therefore, continue his legacy, instilling in the next generation the tools to live a life of faith and loving-kindness."
